Predictive Maintenance is a type of preventive maintenance aimed at identifying and evaluating parameters to determine whether an intervention on the systems is required. It is based on information obtained with the aid of various technologies such as IoT devices or sensors or from the systems themselves, e.g. with the support of Machine Learning, and above all on the analysis and advice of experienced professionals.

Corrective maintenance interventions are required following system failures. Typically, the process develops in a series of steps: from the exact diagnosis of the problem, to the repair carried out by specialized maintenance technicians who can intervene with full maintenance (also referred to as ‘curative corrective’) or incomplete/provisional maintenance (also referred to as ‘stop-gap’).

The terms Operation & Maintenance refer to photovoltaic systems and identify the most effective ways to ensure maximum profitability for them. They consist of three basic steps: the monitoring of the photovoltaic system and all its main operating parameters; the implementation of scheduled maintenance work in full compliance with the planned schedule; and the implementation of corrective actions both remotely and on-site, where necessary.
